We use in the moment planning to provide a balanced, stimulating curriculum, which puts the children's interests at the heart of all planning. As new interests emerge we create learning opportunities and plan activities to extend upon this.
Our continuous provision is regularly reviewed and adapted to meet children's current needs and provocations are regularly added to introduce new concepts and play ideas.
We plan daily 'malleable' activities with specific motor skill focuses that we revisit across a term, planning different activities to meet the different interests and learning styles of all children.
We provide lots of opportunities for sharing books and invite children to join daily story sessions in both the morning and afternoon. Morning stories are planned in advance with 'wow words' picked out to extend children's vocabulary.
Children's interests can last moments, hours, days or sometimes even longer.
